Despicable Me

What many of you may not know about me is that I love movies whether they came out yesterday or even in the days of Charlie chaplain, so what I will be trying to do is to review new movies as I watch them. On occasion I may review older movies as well.

Now onto the review so today I watched the movie despicable me and I LOVED IT, I haven't seen such a funny animated movie in years. But I suppose you shouldn't expect less from actors such as Steve Carrell (Evan Almighty), Jason Segel (How I met your mother), Julie Andrews (Sound of music) and Russell Brand.

So that I don't ruin the movie I will just summarise the plot. The movie is about Super-villain Gru who wants to steal the moon so that he can be the best villain, but he can't until he gets a loan from the Evil bank. Unfortunately they will not give him a loan until he retrieves the shrink ray, so to retrieve the shrink ray he discovers he needs the help of 3 little orphaned girls who he adopts.

Now for those of you who finally can control the power of analysing everything as a result of high school English, the movie will keep most people entertained and of course there are parts of the movie where you may think duh!! that was obviously gonna happen, but overall it was an entertaining movie which was funny to watch and it kept me hooked even though the credits.

7 Bridges Walk

Recently this year like every year in October Sydney holds the7 Bridges Walk. The 7 Bridges walk consists of walking over 7 bridges around Sydney across a 30km track and even better it supports the Cancer Council, also when you sign in the organisers provide you with a booklet which they call a passport and a wristband and at each village and bridge you get a stamp

We started from Milsons point and made our way over the bridge to the next village which was The rocks village.

Opera house

Below you can see a picture of this place we passed on our way to the rocks and we saw people off all ages ranging from families to singles. Unlucky for us a lot of them were overtaking us and as embarrassed as I am to admit it, at one stage even a dog overtook us and he was walking at a leisurely pace.

After we walked passed the gallery we reached the Rocks Village where we were happy to get another stamp. I never new that there was a weekend market there and now I will have to go back there to shop and the chocolate cafe. Remember the dog? well we finally caught up to it and while it was taking a drink of water we overtook him/her.

An interesting piece of art
On our way to Pyrmont bridge we saw this car completely in ruins until we realised that it was a piece of art and I have to say the artist was indeed thinking outside the box especially with painting a face on the rock. It's placed on a roundabout near Dalton house, if your ever in the area check it out.

Anzac Bridge
Ahh finally the Anzac bridge by this stage we were struggling and pretty tired but determined to keep going but lets just say the moment we saw the climb up the bridge all of us groaned at the same time and I'm sure you would have as well after walking 6km.

Climb up to the Anzac Bridge
the top we saw the Nova 969 building and below is a photo I took a of the Iron soldier which is at the other end of the Bridge.

Anzac Soldier
When we reached the other end of the bridge I asked one of the helpers at the village if the next village was any further and lets just say she gave us some bad news but on the way to the next village, they were handing out free flavoured waters and we probably would have hugged the person handing them out if we weren't too tired.

Under the Iron Cove Bridge

Iron Cove Bridge
Finally we finished our walk over the iron Cove Bridge and we had walked approx 13km, I know we said that the walk for 30km but we were too tired to complete the full 30, so we waiting for the ferry which we were all happy too see.
A photo I took of the harbour bridge while on the ferry

Overall even though my friends and I were exhausted we had a great time and they couldn't even believe how much fun they had and the ones who didn't come, wished they had. Not only was this a great day it was the perfect way to exercise with friends and not think of it as a chore plus we also helped the cancer council so to everyone please do the walk next year get a couple of friends and family together you don't have to do it early in the morning and your not required to complete the whole walk you only do as much as you want to do and it is for a worthy cause.

Miku's Introduction

Hi I'm Miku and I'll be bringing a female perspective on topics as well as talking about subjects which mainly concern and interest females such as make up and fashion. This is currently my 2nd blog, my 1st blog is Otaku Down Under which Hiroki kindly invited me to join and contribute to. Otaku Down under is still active and  mostly deals with the latest anime related news which is why Hiroki and I came up with Guy Girl Infusion so that we could talk about other topics and subjects which are completely unrelated to ODU. So if you have any ideas that you would like us to talk about let us know and we may talk about it next time we blog.
